The multi-user write solution

The NSM Mercury 31 is designed to fill the near-line requirements of hierarchical storage management systems by combining read and write drives in  a high-capacity CD-ROM jukebox. It's the only integrated CD information system specifically designed for reading and simultaneous writing, storing, and high-speed access to a 150-CD library. And a smooth quiet robotics mechanism, combined with a separate SCSI data port for the recorder drive, assures accurate disc mastering while providing concurrent, multiple-user read access for all discs stored in the jukebox.
