Standards-Based Technology
QuickCam is the industry leader because it is easy to install and works with virtually all video- and still image-enabled personal computer applications. QuickCam VC supports the TWAIN standard for compatibility with popular software for still image acquisition. As a Video for Windows device, QuickCam VC is also compatible with popular software requiring video. QuickCam VC is available immediately for Windows 95, and will be available for Windows NT in the first Quarter of 1998. The product also has been designed for future compatibility with Windows 98.
 

System Requirements
Connectix Corporation recommends the following minimum hardware and software computer configuration for using QuickCam VC:

• PC with Pentium 100 MHz processor
• Windows 95 (USB port requires version 4.00.950 B* or later)
• 16 MB RAM
• 10 MB available hard drive space for QuickCam software (20 MB needed for VideoPhone 3.0) CD-ROM drive for software installation
• Parallel port and AT or PS/2 style keyboard port (parallel version)
• USB port (USB version)
• SoundBlaster compatible sound card, speakers and microphone required for sending and receiving audio (full duplex sound card recommended)
• 28.8 Kbps modem (synchronous modem required for H.324-based video calls) or network connection
